We welcome over 100 guests to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Central London, for a day of education and engagement in what is being done - and what can be done - to bring all cases of FGM in the UK to an end. It was an honour to welcome such an incredible panel of experts across the professional sector.

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the "Holy Ghost Flow" children's Christian group from Cincinnati Oh under the direction of RL Muzic Productions LLC. My nieces and nephews had a desire to start a group and have been practicing diligently. They CAME UP WITH THE GROUP NAME AND WROTE THE ENTIRE SONG I JUST HELPED WITH THE FLOW OF IT ALL. They range in the ages of 7 to 11. They have their first performance at Stephen Williams and Ricardo MasterProducer Lambert cd release 9.26.15. Shout out to their Parents Bessed HighlyFavored John Edwards Joseph Jackson Andrea Lambert-Jackson and Rick and Keywaina Hughes. I am so proud of these guys. Survivor – Eine Schule hält durch!
Wie so Vielem hat der Distanzunterricht auch dem Klassenmusizieren im Musikunterricht einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Gemeinsames Singen in Videokonferenzen? Funktioniert leider ziemlich schlecht. Insofern lag es nahe, wieder das Prinzip „Musikvideo“ umzusetzen, um zumindest ein bisschen „einsam gemeinsam“ Musik zu machen.
Es brauchte also wieder einen Song, der einen einfachen Aufbau sowie einen machbaren Ambitus hat – und der außerdem eine passende Botschaft vermittelt: „I'm a survivor, I'm not gon' give up, I'm not gon' stop, oh, I'm gon' work harder“ Passender gings eigentlich nicht!
Und so übten einige Schülerinnen und Schüler aus den Klassen 8e, 8f, 9c und 9d fleißig den Songtext, andere die Instrumental-Begleitung und wieder andere machten Aufnahmen von perkussiven Alltagsgeräuschen, die sich für eine Beat-Komposition eignen würden.
Als dann etwa 14 Mitglieder unserer Schulfamilie aus Musikfachschaft und Technikteam an dem Sounddesign-Workshop teilnehmen durften, der uns im Rahmen unserer Crossmedia-Wettbewerbsteilnahme gesponsert wurde, bekamen wir zwischen den beiden Workshop-Sitzungen passenderweise die Hausaufgabe, aus Geräuschen eine Soundkomposition zu er-stellen. Damit ergab sich eine Zusammenarbeit mit Simon Friedrich (9t), der aus den beim Survivor-Projekt eingereichten Sounds mit der Software FL Studio einen dynamischen Beat kreierte. So wurde beispielsweise aus einer Kaffeemaschine ein E-Bass, aus einem Glas ein Glockenspiel und sogar zwei Hunde bekamen ihr Solo. Sophie Karl, Frieder Weidner und Polina Steiner rundeten mit ihren Gesangsbeiträgen den Mix ab, sodass das Video mit dem Dreh der Rahmenszene im Unterricht der ersten Präsenzwoche nach Pfingstferien fertig gestellt werden konnte, um auch noch für die übrigen Schulwochen mit energiegeladenen Versen zu motivieren:
